Major Website Redesign

The last major overhaul of this website was carried out five years ago. It proved to be very successful and, over the years, the site has gradually expanded into a comprehensive online portfolio of Nick's work. However, time and technology have moved on and the site was beginning to feel a little dated. More importantly, we needed a way to provide more space on the gallery pages, as we wanted to be able to display more images on a page, and larger images. We also wanted to improve the navigation to make it easier to browse the ever-expanding portfolio of Nick's animals.

The new site has been completely rebuilt from the ground up. We have uploaded an entirely new portfolio of images, of significantly higher quality, and have installed the latest “lightbox” web galleries, which look fantastic and are very easy to use. For the first time the A-Z index has been fully integrated into the portfolio pages, making the search facility much more accessible. It has been a lot of work, but we think the new site is a big improvement and we hope you like it. If you have any comments or suggestions, feel free to drop us a line.

2007 Wildlife Photographer of the Year Trophies

The 2007 Wildlife Photographer of the Year awards were announced in October and Nick was once again asked to make a number of specially commissioned trophies for the overall winner of the competition and the young wildlife photographer of the year. The trophies are based on the winning photographs, including the elephant pictured left. Nick's association with the competition dates from 1998 when she was commissioned to make the trophies for the Gerald Durrell and Erik Hosking awards, but this is the first time she has been asked to make the trophies for the overall winners.
